What leaves your device
Your raw 23andMe, AncestryDNA, ZIP, gzip, or VCF file is read and parsed in your browser. Evigenics does not upload or retain that raw file. To generate a report, the browser sends only genotype pairs matching the Evigenics curated variant list, plus the profile information and consent timestamp you provide. Where your DNA comes from is worked out in your browser too; only its result, the share of each reference population, is sent.
What Evigenics stores
Evigenics stores your account email and profile, the resulting report, report metadata, consent timestamp, and a one-way hash used to detect duplicate genotype inputs. The report keeps the genotype of each marker it shows, such as the two letters beside a gene; the other submitted pairs are not stored. Reports may include sensitive health and genetic interpretations.
Your name, date of birth and sex go on the report, and with the foods you avoid they shape only Your plan: its amounts follow your sex and age, and its food lists leave out what you avoid. What the report finds comes from your DNA alone. You can change the foods you avoid in Account.
Your grandparents' birthplaces, if you tell us
Telling us where your grandparents were born is optional. We keep your answers with your account, show them on your map beside the areas your DNA matches, and count, without your name, how often the two agree. You can change or remove them in Account.
Only if you tick its own box, we also keep your ancestry markers with those birthplaces as reference data, so results become more precise: your genotypes at the 23,262 positions the calculation reads, sent from your browser, never your file. You can withdraw this at any time in Account, and it is deleted with your account or when you remove your answers.
Security and service providers
Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. Reports require an authenticated account and are scoped to their owner. Report caches are limited to the current browser tab and cleared on logout. Resend processes sign-in email delivery; Google Fonts may receive ordinary connection metadata when public pages load. Cloudflare delivers the site and counts page visits without cookies; it sees which pages are opened, never the contents of a report.
Your choices
Do not submit a DNA file if you do not want matched variants processed. You can delete your account and everything saved under it (reports, birthplaces, any reference contribution) at any time: sign in, open Account, and choose Delete account and reports. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Medical limitation
Evigenics is an educational genomics report, not a diagnostic service or substitute for professional medical advice, genetic counseling, or confirmatory clinical testing.
